I just want to post a thank you to the developers and contributors who have built one nice distribution. Over a year ago I bought a few OPi PC as a possible replacement for Raspberry Pi based HAM radio projects I support.
The Windows 10 Update Assistant downloads and installs feature updates on your device. Feature updates like Windows 10, version 1909 (a.k.a. the Windows 10 November 2019 Update) offer new functionality and help keep your systems secure. You’ll get these updates automatically after you download the Update Assistant.
- If one arch is only shipped as exe, just put an InstallerType (and InstallerSwitches) as necessary for each installer in the manifest. WinGet will know what to do. That’s the strategy I used for Firefox, as they don’t ship MSI files for arm64 but do for x86/x64.
- Installing anydesk armhf on 20.10 arm64 machine. Am trying to install any desk:arm-hf in Ubuntu 20.10 arm64 machine. Because of cross platform I used dpkg for.
If you don’t want to wait for an automatic update, or if you want to check for quality updates (which are more frequent and include small fixes and security updates), you can update Windows 10 yourself.
If you’re an IT professional, you can defer updates. Go to Windows 10 servicing options.
